About the host: Ruth Gelaye is a co-founder and president of Novasta, an organization aimed at alleviating food waste and food insecurity by redirecting food that is left over at restaurants at the end of the day to homeless shelters. What makes Novasta unique is their triple focus on food waste alleviation, food insecurity alleviation, and policy and advocacy.
